The characteristics of honeycomb panels:

1. [Low density] Due to the fact that the aluminum honeycomb core structure is a multi-hollow discontinuous material and the cross-sectional area of the solid part is very small, the density of the honeycomb core is very low. Good sound insulation and heat insulation performance: Honeycomb itself does not have sound insulation and heat insulation performance, but aluminum honeycomb panels do have good sound insulation and heat insulation performance. The volume of the solid material of the honeycomb core of commonly used aluminum honeycomb panels is only 1% to 3%, and the remaining space inside is air in a sealed state between the aluminum panel and the honeycomb structure. Due to the superior sound insulation and heat insulation performance of air compared to any solid material, the propagation of heat and sound waves is greatly restricted. Therefore, aluminum honeycomb panels have excellent sound insulation and heat insulation performance.
